Things to do when staying at Penmenner.

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to walks in the area, and much of the walking is spectacular.
High cliffs and rugged coastline with dramatic coves and inlets make this an exhilarating area to walking.
Renowned local beauty spots such as Kynance and Cadgwith Coves, to name but two, are not to be missed and are within easy walking distance.

Lizard village has every facility including shops, pubs and restaurants. Not to mention ‘Anne’s famous pasty shop’

There has been a lighthouse at Lizard since the early 17th century. The present one has stood since 1751.It is now the largest lighthouse complex in the world.

The Lizard is the gateway for shipping into the English Channel, and it is a very busy part of the ocean. The lighthouse plays an important part in protecting this maritime traffic. There is a heritage centre for visitors to find out more about the lighthouse, its history and workings.

For the more active and adventurous there are surfing beaches, excellent kayaking, cycling and coasteering in the area.

Further afield, other Cornish gems such as, The Eden project, the famous Minack theatre and several National Trust properties and gardens, including St Michael’s Mount, Trengwainton, Glendurgan and Godolphin House are within easy reach of Penmenner House.
